KGBV Ghaziabad – Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 25 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years
• (The maximum permissible age limit for active staff serving in KGBVs is 60 years).

Educational Qualifications

• Principal / PGT Chemistry:
  • Trained M.Sc. in Chemistry with a minimum of 4 years of teaching experience (Classes 9 to 12 or as a trained Headmaster in a recognized Junior High School).
  • Alternative: Master’s degree (1st/2nd class with 10 years of intermediate teaching experience, OR 3rd class with 15 years experience), or a Post Graduate Diploma in Science Education with required service length.
• PGT Hindi:
  • M.A. in Hindi along with a B.A. degree in Sanskrit (or Shastri examination from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University / Govt. Sanskrit College, Varanasi) along with teacher training qualification.
• PGT Physics:
  • M.Sc. in Physics with teacher training qualification, OR B.Sc. with a Post Graduate Diploma in Physics organized by the UP Education Department.
• PGT Computer Science:
  • M.Tech (Computer Science) / B.E. or B.Tech (CS) / MCA / M.Sc. (CS) / DOEACC ‘B’ Level; OR
  • Post Graduate degree with PG Diploma in Computer Applications / B.Sc. (Computer Science as at least 1/3rd subject) / DOEACC ‘A’ Level.
• Lab Assistant:
  • Class 10th (High School) in Science stream with a Diploma in Laboratory Technique; OR Class 12th (Intermediate) in Science stream from a recognized board.
• Office Assistant (Clerk):
  • Intermediate (Class 12th) pass with Computer Science as a separate subject, OR holding a CCC Certificate from NIELIT/DOEACC, OR Diploma/Degree in Computer Science.
  • Typing Speed: Minimum 25 words per minute (WPM) in Hindi and 30 WPM in English on computer.
• Full-Time Teacher (Social Studies):
  • Graduate in Social Studies with NCTE-approved B.Ed. (or equivalent LT) and Upper Primary level Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) cleared.
• Part-Time Teacher (Home Science):
  • Graduate in Home Science with NCTE-approved B.Ed. (or equivalent LT) and Upper Primary level TET cleared.
• Urdu Teacher:
  • Graduation with Urdu, NCTE-approved B.Ed. (or equivalent training), and Upper Primary level TET.
• Peon (Chaprasi):
  • Class 8th pass. Candidates must be physically fit and free from contagious diseases.
• Assistant Cook:
  • Class 8th pass with proven expertise in cooking.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will receive fixed monthly honorariums as detailed below:

All appointed staff will be posted across various upgraded Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas located within Ghaziabad District, Uttar Pradesh (including Mukimpur, Loni, Muradnagar Bhadauli, and Rajapur blocks).

Selection Process for KGBV Ghaziabad Recruitment 2026

1. Shortlisting of Applications: Applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria, qualifications, and experience.
2. Counseling / Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be called for document verification and counseling.
3. Contract Signing: Selected candidates will sign an 11-month 29-day contract on a ₹100 stamp paper.
   • Note: No Travel Allowance (TA/DA) will be provided for attending counseling sessions.
